Alice Sowinski-Rice
Alice Sowinski-Rice is a Project Manager at Discern Health. She assist clients with the development of quality strategies and provides recommendations regarding approaches for performance measurement. Her recent work includes auditing clinical pathways to determine whether all necessary information is available. Alice has also helped develop value strategies for several oncology therapies.
Prior to joining Discern, Alice spent several years as the Director of Standards and Research at a healthcare consulting firm, where she oversaw all research initiatives, evidence-based publications, and technical standards development activities for clients. While in this role, she led the development of quality standards for RadSite, a CMS-recognized radiology accreditation program that assesses and tracks performance on quality measures in advanced diagnostic imaging facilities across the US. Alice has also served as the primary researcher and co-author of several issue briefs and white papers on a wide range of topics including radiology, wound care, colorectal cancer prevention, use of HIT for care management, and analysis of statistical surveys and data.
