On Tuesday, September 22nd, Discern hosted its third annual client convening to discuss mutual opportunities and challenges related to quality measures and value-based care. More than 40 individuals representing 25 life sciences organizations participated in the event. This year’s convening was fully virtual due to the coronavirus pandemic. Participants still had the ability to interact via online polls and break-out discussions.
Topics discussed during the event included:
- The additional services that Discern can offer as part of the W2O Group. In particular, how W2O’s capabilities in data analysis, market access, and communications will enhance Discern’s support for comprehensive quality strategy and pull-through.
- Best practices in driving internal engagement in quality strategy, with a particular focus of cross-departmental integration. Participants shared their experiences in building momentum for quality engagement within their organizations.
- The use of social media data to listen to patient voices and prioritize opportunities to improve patient experiences and outcomes.
- Opportunities to use value-based care programs and measures to advance the goal of health equity.
