Discern Health to Co-Host Virtual Workshop on Patient-Centered Measurement
February 2020

On March 27, please join Discern Health and PFCCpartners from 3:00 PM–4:00 PM ET (12:00–1:00 PM PT) for the virtual workshop “Patient Family Advisor Summit: Co-Designing Person Centered Measurement.” The workshop will review the outcomes from the 2020 Patient Family Advisory (PFA) Summit. PFCCpartners and Discern convened the PFA Summit on measure development to empower patients and families to engage in the measure development lifecycle.
At the Summit, participants identified barriers and potential solutions for strengthening the engagement of patients and family caregivers in measure development activities. The Summit was attended by 33 Patient Family Advisors and 12 national partners, including the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), National Quality Forum (NQF), Patient-Centered Outcomes Research Institute (PCORI), Pharmacy Quality Alliance (PQA), American Institute for Research (AIR), Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ), and others. Discern and PFCCpartners are currently synthesizing the qualitative data gathered during the PFA Summit and developing an action plan to advance identified priorities.
Register for the March 27 workshop here.
