Discern Health has opened an office in Washington, D.C. Located one block from Union Station at 10 G Street, NE, the new office strengthens Discern’s proximity to health policy leaders and clients. The D.C. office has room for seven staff members and will complement Discern’s main office location in Baltimore.
“We’re excited about this important milestone in Discern’s growth,” said Tom Valuck, the Discern Partner who will lead the new office location. “Many of our clients have a presence in Washington, and the new space brings us closer to them. It also enhances our thought leadership role since D.C. is ground zero for so much important health policy work.”
Another advantage of the new office is access to meeting space. Discern often convenes expert panels, roundtable discussions, and other advisory groups. With the new office, Discern will be able to host convenings of 75 or more participants at a location convenient to the Metro and Amtrak.
“Each step in Discern’s development has the goal of better serving our clients,” said Guy D’Andrea, Discern’s Managing Partner. “The new office brings us closer to them and will enable us to add D.C.-based team members with expertise and experience aligned with Discern’s focus – using value-based care to support health system transformation and improvement in patient outcomes.”
